Meet the Owners!

We're Brett and Natalie—the owners & licensed professional piercers behind Ad Astra Piercing Company. What started as a shared passion for exceptional piercing has grown into a studio built around quality, honesty, and creating an experience people actually enjoy. When you walk through our doors, you're not just another appointment—you'll be greeted by the same people who own the studio, perform the piercings, and genuinely care about giving you the best experience possible.

Brett has been piercing for the last 18 years and brings a wealth of knowledge and experience related to all things piercing. He was born and raised in Leoti, KS and began his apprenticeship back in Wichita in 2008. He enjoyed 5 years of piercing at Sore Loser in Hays, KS before returning to the Elektrik Chair shop in Wichita. In 2019 Brett relocated to Lawrence and opened Ad Astra Piercing Co. and has loved being apart of Lawrence’s fun community with his daughter Ilsa (head of HR).

Natalie started her piercing journey in Wichita in 2022 and has been a Registered Nurse with her BSN since 2009. Her nursing history focused primarily on pediatrics and women’s health, and she continues to work occasionally in the nursing field PRN back in Wichita. She is the mom of two teens (who you’ll see working in the front of the shop on occasion), 3 dogs and 1 cat - all who are so excited to be living in Lawrence full time now! She loves cheering the Jayhawks and attending as many men’s KU basketball games with Brett as their schedules allow.

We are SOOO excited to announce that we are now officially building owners, as well as business owners, of our new (coming soon) shop location at 742 Mass street! We can’t wait to move around the corner for continued piercing and growing our small business in this amazing community! ROCK CHALK!
